Overview
The Department of Biotechnology, Sharda School of Bio-Sciences & Technology (SSBT) is offering Value Added Course (VAC) on "Natural History, Land and Aquascaping (NVF1004)" for the current academic session for students of B.Tech Biotechnology. These courses focus on skill-oriented, interdisciplinary, and application-based learning to enhance employability and holistic development.
Objectives of Event
1.This course aims to provide students with foundational knowledge of globaland regional biodiversity, its significance, threats, and conservation strategies.It also focuses on understanding environmental health, pollution, climatechange, and their impacts on human well-being.
2.It aims to provide students with foundational knowledge of hydroponics, its scientific principles, system types, and applications in modern biotechnology and sustainable agriculture.
3.It aims to provide students with a multidisciplinary understanding of climate change (SDG-13) and its impact on terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, while integrating biotechnology-based approaches for climate mitigation, adaptation, and biodiversity conservation.
4.It aims to develop a scientific understanding of natural history, ecological evolution, and the design principles behind land- and aqua-based ecosystems.
5.It aims to help students understand and apply the power of wit, humor, and positivity to enhance mental, emotional, physical well-being while nurturing creativity and wisdom.
