Company Overview

AB InBev is a global brewing and beverage company involved in producing, packaging, and distributing beer and other beverages. Its brewery operations involve the transformation of agricultural raw materials into finished beverages through controlled brewing and fermentation processes, followed by clarification, quality control, packaging, and distribution.

Objectives of Event

During the industrial visit, students may gain practical exposure to:

  • Raw material handling and preparation, including malting and brewing ingredients.
  • Brewing operations such as mashing, wort preparation, boiling, and hopping.
  • Fermentation and the role of yeast in alcohol production.
  • Process control and industrial-scale production.
  • Quality assurance and quality control of beverages.
  • Filtration, packaging, and storage operations.
  • Industrial hygiene, safety, and sanitation practices.
  • Waste management, resource efficiency, and sustainability in brewery operations.

 

This will help students relate concepts of food processing, fermentation technology, microbiology, quality management, and industrial operations to their practical applications in a commercial manufacturing environment.
