Dear All,

The Expert Lecture on “Professional Ethics, Soft Skills & Surviving the Profession” aims to equip students with essential professional values and practical skills required to navigate the legal profession successfully. The session will highlight the significance of professional ethics, integrity, accountability, and responsible conduct in legal practice. It will also focus on developing effective communication, interpersonal skills, professional confidence, and the ability to manage workplace challenges. Drawing upon her professional experience, Dr. Vidyottma Jha will provide valuable insights into the expectations, challenges, and responsibilities associated with the legal profession. The lecture seeks to bridge the gap between classroom learning and professional practice while preparing students to become ethical, competent, resilient, and socially responsible legal professionals.

Objectives of Event

1. To develop an understanding of professional ethics and the importance of integrity, accountability, and ethical conduct in the legal profession.

2. To enhance students’ soft skills, including communication, interpersonal relations, professional etiquette, teamwork, and effective advocacy.

3. To familiarise students with the practical challenges of the legal profession and equip them with strategies to manage professional pressures, workplace expectations, and career-related uncertainties.

4. To promote professional confidence, resilience, and lifelong learning to enable students to build sustainable careers while upholding the dignity and responsibilities of the legal profession.
