The Literary and Debating Society, Sharda School of Law, Sharda University, under the aegis of Vishwamanthan Model United Nations, 2026 is pleased to announce that the first session of “Shastrartha Shukravaar- Weekly Debates” on the Topic, “Is India's Light-Touch' Al Regulation Model Adequate for the Al Era” is going to be held on 30th September, 2026- an opportunity open to students of all the Schools of Sharda University.

With this competition we offer the students a great platform to brush up their oratory skills and gain the confidence for their future professions within their very own university as an inclusive, free of cost opportunity.

FEW TAKEAWAYS OF THE EVENT:

·         All the participants will be awarded with Certificate of Participation (only e-certificates)

·         1st, 2nd and 3rd Position Holders will be awarded Certificates of Appreciation signed by Respected Dean, Sharda School of Law (e-certificates only)

·         An excellent opportunity to represent your research skills mixed up with the argument framing and speaking in front of the participants from different schools of your university- to shine among the best students from all the schools.

·         This debate competition is a very exclusive event with participants count of 60 only.

·         We are accepting registrations till 28th of September 2026

Objectives of Event

·         The primary objective of the debate competition is to offer university students a platform to enhance their oratory and public speaking skills, fostering greater self-confidence and communication abilities.

·         By engaging students from all schools within Sharda University, the competition provides a unique opportunity for participants to showcase their talents and excel among the best, promoting healthy competition and camaraderie.

·         The chosen debate topic addresses pertinent contemporary issues, aiming to enrich participants’ knowledge while fostering awareness and critical thinking about societal challenges.
