About the Event:

The Department of Optometry, Sharda School of Allied Health Sciences, is organizing EyeCon 2026: Optometry Model Competition —an innovative and interactive model and poster presentation event for students and aspiring eye care professionals.

This event is designed to integrate creativity with scientific understanding, providing participants an opportunity to design and present physical or digital models that demonstrate fundamental and advanced concepts in optometry. Topics may range from ocular anatomy and common eye disorders to modern diagnostic instruments and emerging technologies in vision care.

More than a competitive platform, EyeCon 2026 aims to promote awareness about eye health and visual well-being while encouraging experiential learning. By combining academic knowledge, innovation, and visual communication, the event enables participants to strengthen their conceptual foundations, enhance presentation skills, and explore the evolving landscape of optometric practice through hands-on and creative engagement.

Objectives of Event

· To encourage innovation and creativity among optometry students through model and poster making.

· To promote hands-on learning for better understanding of anatomical and functional aspects of the human visual system.

· To enhance awareness of eye health and vision care among participants and viewers.

· To provide a platform for students to integrate art, science, and technology in showcasing optometric concepts.
