Overview

The Sharda School of Law, Sharda University, is organising a Workshop on “How to Draft Public Interest Litigation (PIL)” to enhance students’ practical understanding of the drafting process and significance of Public Interest Litigations in the Indian judicial system.

After attending the workshop, students will be able to:

  • Understand the structure and essential elements of PIL.
  • Identify social issues suitable for PILs and develop skills in effective drafting.
  • Gain practical knowledge of aspects in filing and presenting PILs before courts.
  • Develop awareness about the role of PILs in promoting justice and accountability in governance.

Objectives of Event

  • To familiarise students with the concept and importance of Public Interest Litigation.
  • To provide practical guidance on drafting and filing of PILs.
  • To encourage law students to use PILs as a tool for public welfare and legal reform.
