Overview

An educational trip was organized to Chakrata and the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), Uttarakhand, with the objective of providing experiential learning and field-based exposure to students. At Chakrata, students explored the unique geographical features, forest ecosystems, and socio-cultural landscapes of the Himalayan region, gaining practical insights into physical and human geography. The visit to IIRS offered an opportunity to understand advanced geospatial technologies, including remote sensing, GIS, and satellite applications in resource management and environmental monitoring. The trip successfully integrated field observation with technological learning, enriching students’ academic knowledge and research perspectives.
