Overview

The Technova, Technical Society, SSCSE, Sharda University, is hosting a two-day Online Introductory Tech Workshop on 4th–5th September 2025 for first-year students to begin their journey in coding and development. The workshop will guide participants in setting up their coding environment with VS Code, Git, and GitHub, while giving them hands-on experience in creating their first GitHub repository.

Along with tool training, students will explore career roadmaps in Web Development, AI/ML, Cybersecurity, and App Development, and learn about the importance of open-source contributions and opportunities ahead. By the end of the event, participants will have practical exposure to coding tools, GitHub workflow, and clear direction for their future growth in technology.

Objectives of Event

• Introduce students to essential tools like VS Code, Git and GitHub.
• Offer a hands-on, beginner-friendly coding environment setup session.
• Provide students with their first GitHub contribution experience.
• Guide them with career roadmaps in various tech domains (Web Dev, AI/ML, Cybersecurity, App Dev).
• Showcase open-source programs and opportunities available in their coming years.
