Overview

This interdisciplinary course explores the dynamic relationships between media, society, and popular culture. It critically examines how various forms of media – print, television, film, and digital – influence our perceptions, social relations, and cultural practices. Students will engage with concepts such as representation, identity, consumerism, and globalization, and assess the role of media in both perpetuating and challenging societal norms. Through case studies, interactive discussions, and practical reflections, the course encourages media literacy and a critical understanding of popular culture in everyday life.
