Overview
Department of Microbiology, School of Medical Sciences and Research, Sharda Hospital,Sharda University is organizing an Event on "World Hand Hygiene Day", to celebrated annually on 5th May 2025, is a global campaign led by the World Health Organization (WHO) to raise awareness about the importance of hand hygiene in healthcare and community settings. This year’s theme, “It might be gloves, but it’s always hand hygiene” emphasizes the critical role that proper hand hygiene plays in preventing the spread of infections, especially in healthcare environments. The event aims to engage healthcare professionals, students, and the general public in promoting regular and effective handwashing practices. Activities include awareness drives, educational workshop, skit demonstrations, and community visits to reinforce hand hygiene as a simple yet powerful tool in disease prevention.

Objectives of Event
- Raise Awareness: Educate the public and healthcare workers about the impact of hand hygiene on preventing infections and improving health outcomes.
