Overview

Sharda School of Nursing Science & Research (SSNSR), Sharda University is organizing an Extension and Community Awareness Programme on “आशाकीकिरण: बांझपनकेप्रतिसमझऔरसहयोग” (Ray of Hope: Understanding and Support for Infertility) on 28th Nov. 2025 at Girdharpur village, Gautam Buddha Nagar U.P.

Infertility is a growing public health concern that affects both men and women worldwide, often resulting in significant emotional, psychological, and social challenges. Despite the advancement of reproductive health services, the stigma and misconceptions surrounding infertility continue to persist, especially in rural and semi-urban areas. The programme aims to raise awareness about the causes, prevention, and management of infertility, while encouraging understanding, empathy, and support for affected couples. It also focuses on empowering nursing professionals and students with the necessary knowledge and communication skills to educate the community on reproductive health and fertility care.

Through interactive sessions, exhibitions, and community engagement activities, participants will gain insights into early diagnosis, treatment options, and the importance of seeking timely medical advice. The initiative also seeks to promote healthy lifestyle practices, stress management, and counseling support to address the emotional aspects associated with infertility.
