Department of Physiology, Sharda School of Medical Sciences and Research, Sharda Hospital, Sharda University is organising a workshop on "AITO-Optics of Eye and Errors of Refraction"on 18th March 2026.

Objectives of Event

• Describe the basic principles of light, refraction, and the optical components of the eye involved in image formation.
• Explain the optical properties of the eye, including accommodation and the role of different ocular media in focusing light on the retina.
• Discuss the types and mechanisms of refractive errors such as myopia, hypermetropia, astigmatism, and presbyopia.
• Correlate the optical abnormalities of the eye with their clinical presentation, diagnosis, and methods of correction.
• Integrate concepts from basic sciences and clinical subjects through case-based learning related to refractive errors.
