Overview

The Sharda School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Sharda University, is organizing “Success Stories – Alumni Connect” as part of Deeksharambh 2026, the five-day Student Orientation Programme for the Academic Year 2026–27, under the theme “Yuva Shakti – Viksit Bharat.”

Alumni are an invaluable part of the University community, carrying forward its academic legacy while making meaningful contributions across diverse professional and social spheres. As ambassadors of the institution, they provide an important link between university education and the opportunities, challenges, and experiences of the world beyond the campus.

The “Success Stories – Alumni Connect” session will bring together alumni from diverse programmes of the School to interact with incoming students and share their experiences, achievements, and learnings. The interaction will offer freshers first-hand perspectives on academic life, career choices, skill development, and personal growth, while inspiring them to make purposeful use of their university years. At the same time, the session aims to foster a sense of belonging among new students and strengthen the culture of alumni engagement within the School.

Objectives of Event

• To facilitate direct interaction between incoming students and alumni from diverse academic and professional backgrounds.
• To provide first-hand insights into the transition from university life to higher education and professional careers.
• To familiarize students with diverse career pathways and emerging opportunities across different fields.
• To encourage students to recognise the importance of skill development, adaptability, and informed career planning.
• To motivate freshers to make purposeful use of academic and co-curricular opportunities during their university years.
• To promote a sustained culture of alumni participation in student learning and development.
