Overview
The Sharda School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SSHSS), Sharda University, presents Gender Sensitization Campaign: “Think Equal, Act Equal,” featuring Reel/Documentary Making and Poster Making competitions.
The theme reminds us that equality is an old idea. It draws inspiration from Gargi and Maitreyi, the learned women sages of the Upanishads, and from the Vedic Hymn of Harmony in the Rig Veda, which calls for common resolve, hearts and minds so that people may live together in harmony.
Participants tell stories of respect, equality and change through short reels or documentaries, and paint powerful messages of gender equality, dignity and respect for all through posters.
The event helps students think critically about stereotypes, build their creative and storytelling skills, and use their voice to promote respect and dignity, with the message "सम्मान सबका, समानता सबकी!" (Respect for all, equality for all)
