Overview

Sharda School of Nursing Science & Research (SSNSR), Sharda University in collaboration with Sharda Hospital  is organizing a Blood Donation Camp' on 1st October 2025. The program will highlight the theme “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan” – which means “Healthy Women, Empowered Families Campaign.” This campaign is being observed from 17th September to 2nd October 2025.It’s a public health awareness initiative theme that emphasizes the idea that when women are healthy, their families and communities become stronger, safer, and more empowered.

The blood donation camp is aimed at providing a platform for students, faculty, and community members to voluntarily donate blood and contribute towards saving lives. Blood is an irreplaceable component in healthcare, and timely availability can make the difference between life and death during emergencies such as accidents, major surgeries, maternal complications, anemia, and cancer treatments.

This camp seeks to increase awareness regarding the importance of regular voluntary blood donation, encourage eligible donors to participate, and ensure a safe and hygienic environment for blood collection under medical supervision. It also provides an opportunity for nursing students to observe and actively participate in community health initiatives, enhancing their skills in donor motivation, health screening, and health education.

By organizing this event, SSNSR reinforces its commitment to social responsibility and public health promotion. The camp not only addresses the urgent need for blood supply but also helps in building a culture of compassion, empathy, and civic duty among students and the community at large.
