The Department of Dean Students’ Welfare and Hostels, Sharda University is pleased to invite you to our Janmashtami Celebration on 26th August 2024.

Join us for a vibrant and joyous celebration of Janmashtami, the auspicious occasion marking the birth of Lord Krishna. This event will unite our entire community in celebrating one of Hinduism's most cherished festivals, filled with devotion, cultural performances, and traditional festivities and values.

Objectives of Event

• To celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna and promote the rich cultural heritage and traditions associated with Janmashtami.
• To provide a spiritual atmosphere that encourages reflection on the teachings and life of Lord Krishna, fostering a sense of devotion among participants.
• To bring together students, faculty, and staff for a shared cultural experience, strengthening the sense of community and unity within the institution.
• To educate participants, especially younger attendees, about the historical and religious significance of Janmashtami through interactive activities, storytelling, and performances.
• To highlight and instill values such as devotion, humility, and righteousness, as exemplified by Lord Krishna's life and teachings.
• To encourage cultural exchange by involving participants from diverse backgrounds, fostering an understanding and appreciation of different traditions
