Overview

This 6-day offline Student Development Program (SDP) is designed to help students build both a strong foundation and advanced understanding of computer and network security in the emerging post-quantum era. The sessions will cover essential cryptographic concepts and explore how future-ready security mechanisms such as post-quantum cryptography can be applied to real-world technologies like 5G and 6G networks. Throughout the program, participants will engage with expert speakers, gain exposure to practical case studies, and explore key topics like stream ciphers, block ciphers, public key systems, and side-channel attacks. The goal is to help students not just learn, but also think critically and apply these concepts in both academic research and industry contexts.

Objectives of Event

  • The program is designed to give students a clear and practical understanding of both classical and post-quantum cryptography.
  • It will introduce them to emerging threats like side-channel attacks and help them explore how secure communication systems are evolving in response to quantum computing.
  • By the end of the event, students will be better prepared to take on roles in academic research, industry, or advanced cybersecurity projects especially in fast-growing areas like 5G and 6G technologies.
