Overview

The interactive session on “Provisions under the New Income Tax Act 2025” at Sharda University, Greater Noida, features senior Income Tax officials- Smt. Aparna Karan, IRS (Pr. Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, UP (West) & Uttarakhand, Kanpur) and Smt. Renuka Jain Gupta, IRS (Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Ghaziabad), along with the officers from Kanpur, Noida, and Ghaziabad.  Scheduled for Tuesday, 6th January 2026, from 2:30 PM onwards at Chanakya Auditorium, the event aims to conduct the session on key updates such as revised tax slabs, exemptions, compliance rules, the new tax year concept, and handling of income categories including digital transactions.  To promote awareness of e-services, voluntary compliance, and practical query resolution for students, faculty, and professionals.

Objectives of Event

  • To explain major structural changes, tax slab revisions, and compliance requirements introduced under the New Income Tax Act 2025.
  • To understand the treatment of different income categories, and simplification of provisions for individuals and businesses.
  • To address queries from students, faculty, tax professionals, and industry participants regarding implementation from the 2026 tax year onwards.
  • To create awareness about taxpayer services, grievance redressal mechanisms, and the role of the Income Tax Department in promoting voluntary compliance
