Overview

The Sharda School of Pharmacy, Sharda University in collaboration with Sharda Skill is organizing a Guest Lecture on “Clinical Research, Pharmacovigilance, and Medical Coding: Career Opportunities for Pharmacy Students” on 11th March 2026 (Wednesday) under the Sharda Skill Initiative.

This session aims to provide Pharma students with valuable insights into emerging career opportunities in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. The lecture will focus on the growing importance of clinical research, drug safety monitoring (pharmacovigilance), and medical coding in the global healthcare system.

Through this interactive session, students will gain knowledge about industry requirements, skill development, career pathways, and professional growth opportunities in these specialized domains. The program also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by promoting awareness of drug safety and healthcare quality.

Approximately 100 students are expected to participate in this informative session, which will help bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations.

Objectives of Event

  1. To provide an overview of Clinical Research, Pharmacovigilance, and Medical Coding.
  2. To create awareness about emerging career opportunities in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.
  3. To familiarize students with the roles, responsibilities, and required skills in these professional domains.
  4. To enhance students’ understanding of drug development processes and drug safety monitoring.
  5. To introduce the importance of medical coding in healthcare documentation and data management.
  6. To bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry requirements.
  7. To encourage students to explore specialized career pathways in the pharmaceutical sector.
  8. To support awareness related to SDG through knowledge of safe and effective healthcare practices.
