Bharatiya Sanskriti Vaishvik Kendra proudly presents the lecture series ‘Igniting the Fire Within: Success Mantras from the Masters’ by Shri Samir Kumar. Shri Samir Kumar is a an entrepreneur, investor, engineer, global derivatives trader, civil servant, CEO, National Award–winning filmmaker, and above all, a sincere spiritual seeker. The IIT- Kharagpur and IIM-Calcutta graduate, has recently turned into an author of the book- Freedom! Let Us Begin the Journey. 

Drawing upon the Vedantic framework of the Pancha Koshas (the five sheaths—body, energy, emotion, identity, and bliss), the book gently guides readers towards inward journey towards freedom. Rather than proposing freedom as a distant achievement, the book presents it as a remembering-of what has always been ours. We are honoured to Shri Samir Kumar ji for the launch of his book and an interactive session with the students.

Objectives of Event

Bridging the gap between Students and Masters:

-The lecture will serve as both compass and catalyst for students standing at life’s most consequential crossroads. We’ll confront the silent epidemic of our times – bright young minds paralyzed by too much information translating to too many choices yet starved for real direction, connected to the entire world yet feeling profoundly alone in their struggles. 

Collective formulation of frameworks and strategies:

 

-The direct interaction with the master will arm students with battle-tested frameworks to convert their anxiety into agency – practical tools to navigate career jungles where traditional maps no longer apply and mental models to transform societal pressures from weights to wings. The aim is to go beyond generic “follow your passion” advice to teach the real calculus of decision-making when every path seems equally plausible yet dubious.

 

Reconstructing definitions and reinventing self:

-At its heart, this will be a masterclass in constructing meaning of the word success. It will be an exploration of how ancient wisdom about purpose intersects with cutting-edge neuroscience about motivation, how the timeless virtues of perseverance and ethical leadership actually become competitive advantages in our volatile world, and why the most successful careers are those that solve real human problems rather than chase hollow metrics. 

-The session will reveal how real self-confidence can anchor young professionals adrift in globalized uncertainty, also turning cultural roots into strategic assets rather than nostalgic relics. Ultimately, it will be about igniting the fire within. Students will leave not just with temporary inspiration but with a personalised blueprint for building lives that matter in a world that’s waiting for their contribution.
