The Expert Lecture on “The Consumer Protection Act, 2019: Basics and Process” is designed to introduce students to one of the most significant reforms in consumer law in India. The 2019 Act modernizes the framework for protecting consumer rights by addressing challenges of globalization, digital trade, and e-commerce, while also ensuring faster and more effective dispute resolution

Objectives of Event

·         To explain the procedural aspects of consumer disputes, including filing and resolving complaints.

·         To highlight the role of consumer forums and commissions in protecting consumer rights.

·         To clarify emerging issues such as e-commerce, product liability, and misleading advertisements.

·         To enable students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-life consumer law scenarios.
