Overview

Sharda School of Humanities & Social Sciences and Bharatiya Sanskriti Vaishvik Kendra presents Lecture Series मनन मंथन:  Reflections on Indian Culture and Ancient Wisdom. The fifth lecture in the series is a special experiential session on  Tridosha Balancing through Raga Chikitsa: Healing through Sound & Conscious Listening

The speaker, Dr. Shambhavi Das, is a renowned practitioner and scholar of Raga Chikitsa -the ancient Indian science of healing through music. Drawing from the principles of Ayurveda and Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), the session will explore how specific ragas and mindful listening practices can help harmonize the three doshas - Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, thereby promoting emotional and physical well-being.

The session will help students and faculty experience the therapeutic dimensions of Indian classical music, understand the science of sound and consciousness, and appreciate the role of music as a medium of inner balance and holistic health.
