Overview

Department of Academic Affairs and Sharda School of Business Studies is jointly organizing a One-Day Workshop on “Total Loss Prevention (TLP) and Capacity Building.”, in collaboration with the International Institute of Security and Safety Management (IISSM) and the National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The workshop aims to enhance awareness, preparedness, and risk prevention competencies among students and faculty members. It focuses on building institutional capacity in line with UGC guidelines, NEP 2020, and the Prime Minister’s National Safety Mandates, empowering participants with essential knowledge on safety management and disaster resilience.

Objectives of Event

  1. To enhance awareness among students and faculty about Total Loss Prevention, disaster management, and safety preparedness in line with UGC and NEP 2020 guidelines.
  2. To build capacity by developing risk identification, mitigation, and prevention skills essential for academic institutions and future workplaces.
  3. To familiarize participants with national and international frameworks on safety, disaster resilience, and compliance under the Prime Minister’s National Safety Mandates.
  4. To provide practical exposure through interactive sessions on cyber security, industrial safety, and risk management strategies.
  5. To promote collaboration between academia and professional bodies like IISSM and NIDM for integrating safety and loss prevention modules into higher education programs.
