Overview
The objective of the training is to understand the fundamental principles of High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), including separation mechanisms, stationary and mobile phases, and important chromatographic parameters. Participants will learn about the components and working principles of an HPLC system, including the pump, injector, column, detector, and data acquisition system, as well as the influence of mobile-phase composition, flow rate, column selection, and detection wavelength on chromatographic separation. The training will also provide practical knowledge of sample preparation, filtration, injection, and chromatographic analysis, along with an understanding of key parameters such as retention time, peak area, resolution, theoretical plates, and peak symmetry.
Objectives of Event
- To provide participants with hands-on training in the operation and handling of HPLC instrumentation.
- To develop practical skills in method development and optimization for different types of samples.
- To train participants in the qualitative and quantitative analysis of pharmaceutical, food, and biological samples.
- To demonstrate calibration, system suitability, and basic troubleshooting of HPLC.
- To familiarize participants with data acquisition, chromatogram interpretation, and reporting of analytical results.
- To enhance participants’ confidence in applying HPLC for academic research, quality control, and routine analytical applications.
