Overview

The Department of Physics & Environmental Science, Sharda University, is organizing the Vikram Sarabhai Memorial Lecture 2026 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, the Father of the Indian Space Programme, on 12th August, 2026, in APJ Abdul Kalam Auditorium, 005 B3, from 1:00-3:00 PM. The session will be followed by presentations by students on the achievements and contributions of Vikram Sarabhai in Indian Space Science. The event aims to inspire students by highlighting the remarkable contributions of Dr. Sarabhai to science, technology, and national development.

Objectives of Event

·       To celebrate and honour the legacy of Dr. Vikram Sarabhai and his contributions to India's scientific and technological progress.

·       To enhance students’ understanding of India's space program and its impact on society.

·       To provide a platform for students to develop presentation, communication, and research skills.

·       To expose students to emerging opportunities in space research, technology, and interdisciplinary STEM careers.

To motivate young learners to pursue scientific research and contribute to national development through science and technology.
