Overview

An visit to the exhibition “The Mute Eloquence of the Taj Mahal: Ba-zaban-e Be-zabani” was organized by the Sharda School of Design for students on 3rd December 2025 at DAG, Janpath, New Delhi. The exhibition, curated by Rana Safvi, presents the Taj Mahal as a monument that ‘speaks through silence,’ using visual, poetic, and historical narratives spanning over three centuries. The visit provided an enriching opportunity for students and accompanying faculty to experience curatorial storytelling, spatial arrangement, and heritage interpretation firsthand. It served as an experiential learning platform connecting art, architecture, and cultural heritage with design education

Objectives of Event

  • Facilitate interdisciplinary learning by connecting architecture, design, and heritage.
  • Expose faculty and students to curatorial and interpretive methods in heritage representation.
  • Strengthen academic mentorship through on-site interaction and discussion.
  • Encourage reflective teaching approaches through experiential field learning
