The Campus Calling – POSH Awareness Workshop, organized by the National Commission for Women (NCW) in collaboration with Yuvamanthan.The workshop aimed to educate students and faculty members about the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act, 2013, along with promoting gender sensitivity, respectful behavior, and safe academic environments.The session covered essential topics such as definitions of sexual harassment, legal rights, responsibilities of institutions, reporting mechanisms, and the role of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC). Interactive components—including educational videos, open discussions, and a formal POSH pledge—helped participants understand practical workplace and campus scenarios related to safety and gender equality.

Objectives of Event

To create awareness about the POSH Act, 2013

Educate participants on the legal framework, definitions of sexual harassment, complaint processes, and institutional responsibilities.

 

To promote gender sensitivity and respectful campus culture

Encourage students and faculty to understand appropriate behavior, consent, and the importance of maintaining safe academic and professional environments.

 

To familiarize participants with reporting mechanisms and support structures

Provide clarity on the role of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), how to file complaints, available support systems, and confidentiality norms.

 

To reinforce commitment through the POSH Pledge

Strengthen ethical and social responsibility by encouraging participants to pledge toward preventing harassment and supporting safe, inclusive environments.
