Overview

Department of Physics & Environmental Sciences, is organising the Inauguration of Physics & Environmental Sciences Club ‘Celestium’ on 30 th January, 2026, in Visveswaraya Auditorium, 014 B3 from 1:00 pm onwards. The inaugural session will be followed by a science quiz, documentaries on the latest research and presentations.

Objectives of Event

The objective of the event is to:

• Enhance interest and creativity: To make physics more enjoyable and spark a deeper interest through activities like quizzes, model making, and competitions. 
• Go beyond the curriculum: To provide opportunities for students to explore physics concepts through hands-on experiments and projects that are not part of their regular classes.
• Develop skills: To improve students’ abilities in areas like problem-solving, critical thinking, scientific communication, and teamwork.
• Provide knowledge and experience: To expose students to new physics topics,conduct demonstrations, invite guest speakers, and discuss current research and discoveries.
