Overview

IQAC is organising a workshop in association with Research Development Cell on Building Strong Foundations: A Workshop on Research Methodology aimed at equipping research scholars with essential research skills and knowledge. The workshop will cover fundamental aspects of the research process, including problem identification, literature review, research design, data collection, analysis techniques, and academic writing. It will also emphasize ethical research practices and effective use of referencing tools. This initiative will serve to strengthen the research capabilities of our scholars, laying a strong foundation for quality academic work and publications. The workshop aligns with our commitment to fostering a robust research culture within the university.

 

 

 

Objectives of Event

 

1.     To provide foundational knowledge about the nature, purpose, and scope of academic research.
2.     To guide scholars through each stage of the research process—from identifying a research problem to formulating objectives, hypotheses, and research questions.
3.     To help participants understand different research designs and methodologies, including qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method approaches.
4.     To train participants in identifying, accessing, reviewing, and synthesizing relevant literature using academic databases and citation management tools.
5.     To establish a strong foundation for research projects by emphasizing the importance of clear research planning, feasibility, and alignment with academic standards.
6.     To enable scholars to effectively utilize electronic resources (e-resources), including digital libraries, online journals, and institutional repositories, for comprehensive research support.
