Overview

The Sharda School of Nursing Science and Research (SSNSR) is organizing an Awareness Programme in the community area of Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on 18th November 2025 on the occasion of World COPD Day. The theme for this year is “Short of Breath, Think COPD.”

To promote active learning and community engagement, the programme will include a COPD awareness rally to spread key messages on lung health and the importance of early symptom recognition. Additionally, students will present an engaging role play to demonstrate real-life scenarios related to COPD, focusing on early detection, prevention, and effective management.

Through role play, interactive activities, and a community rally, the initiative aims to empower individuals and families to take proactive steps in preventing COPD and improving their overall well-being.

Objectives of Event

  • (SDG 3)  Educate the public about Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
  • (SDG12)  To demonstrate correct inhaler techniques, breathing exercises, and lifestyle changes through practical examples.
  • (SDG 4)   To motivate participants to adopt preventive measures such as avoiding smoking and reducing exposure to pollutants.
  • (SDG 3)   Encourage early diagnosis, timely treatment, and better disease management
  • (SDG 4)   Raise awareness about overall lung health and preventive strategies among patients and families living with COPD
