The Debating Committee of Sharda School of Law is thrilled to announce that after a great success of शास्त्रार्थ  शुक्रवार- WEEKLY FRIDAY DEBATES, Part I and II and other such debating events, it has decided to conduct THE SOCRATIC SHOWDOWN- THINK, QUESTION, DEBATE on the Topic “Does the UGC Bill conform to the Constitutional Vision and ideals underpinning the Constitution of India” on 25th February 2026 - an opportunity open to students from all the schools of our prestigious university.

 

With this competition we offer the students a great platform to brush up their oratory skills and gain the confidence for their future profession within their very own university with the minimal fee of Rs. 200.

 

Few takeaways are-

·        1st and 2nd Position holders from both the motions will be awarded with cash prizes and certificates.

·        An excellent opportunity to represent your research skills mixed up with the argument framing and speaking in front of the participants from different schools of your university- to shine among the best students from all the schools

·        This debate competition is a very exclusive event with participants count of 60 only.

·        We are accepting registrations till 22nd of February 2026.

Objectives of Event

·        The primary objective of the debate competition is to offer university students a platform to enhance their oratory and public speaking skills, fostering greater self-confidence and communication abilities.

·        By engaging students from all schools within Sharda University, the competition provides a unique opportunity for participants to showcase their talents and excel among the best, promoting healthy competition and camaraderie.

·        The chosen debate topic addresses pertinent contemporary issues, aiming to enrich participants' knowledge while fostering awareness and critical thinking about societal challenges.
