Overview

The Blood Donation Camp is organized by the Department of Nursing in collaboration with the NSS Cell, Sharda University, with the aim of promoting voluntary blood donation and creating awareness among students about the importance of donating blood. The event served as a platform to encourage the spirit of social responsibility, community service, and humanitarian support.

The camp focused on educating participants about the importance of safe and voluntary blood donation, eligibility criteria, the donation process, and the role of donated blood in saving lives during emergencies, surgeries, trauma, and management of various medical conditions. Nursing students actively participated in organizing and facilitating the camp, thereby gaining practical exposure to health education, communication, patient care, and community health practices.

Objectives of Event

 

  • To promote voluntary blood donation among students of NSS and Nursing of the university.
  • To create awareness about the importance and life-saving value of blood donation.
  • To educate participants regarding blood donation eligibility, safety measures, procedures, and precautions.
  • To encourage social responsibility and community service among nursing students and NSS volunteers.
