Overview

A hands-on training program titled "Demonstration and Handling of High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)" was organized for PhD students to strengthen their practical understanding of advanced analytical instrumentation. The session included an overview of the working principles of HPLC, introduction to its major components, instrument setup, sample preparation techniques, chromatographic method execution, data interpretation, and routine maintenance practices. Participants observed live demonstrations and gained practical exposure to instrument operation under expert guidance. The event also covered common troubleshooting techniques and best laboratory practices to ensure accurate, reliable, and reproducible analytical results. The training provided valuable experience that will support participants in their research and analytical work.

Objectives of Event

  1. To understand the basic principles and applications of HPLC.
  2. To demonstrate the operation and handling of HPLC instrumentation.
  3. To provide hands-on training in chromatographic analysis.
  4. To develop skills in data acquisition, interpretation, and method execution.
  5. To familiarize participants with routine maintenance and troubleshooting of HPLC systems.
  6. To enhance analytical and research skills for advanced scientific investigations.
