Overview

Skill training using OSCE method of Clinical Examination is most popular technique in health care academic for students nursing education. Even though OSCE is a frequently used method in health professions specially in nursing education to evaluate students' clinical competency. CPR is a lifesaving technique that involves chest Compression and rescue breaths to maintain blood circulation until professional help arrives; it is an essential component of basic life on Compression only life support by appropriate steps and sequence to save life in emergency situation for quick recover. An OSCE is a performance-based assessment that evaluates students in a simulated work environment; the students rotate through multiple stations where they perform and are assessed on specific tasks.

Objectives of Event

  1. To assess the retention of knowledge and skills related to Compression-Only Life Support (COLS) among nursing students.
  2. To assess the quality of compression during BLS skills among nursing students by using the OSCE checklist
  3. To evaluate the outcome & its effectiveness of the BLS demonstration on competency among the nursing students.
