Overview

hBAJA SAEINDIA is a national-level engineering design competition organized by SAEINDIA in which student teams design, develop, fabricate and test an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV). The competition provides students with practical exposure to the complete vehicle-development cycle, including conceptual design, engineering calculations, CAD/CAE, manufacturing, testing, validation, cost analysis and technical presentation. The competition consists of a virtual design-evaluation stage followed by physical static and dynamic events, culminating in an endurance event that evaluates the vehicle's overall performance, reliability and durability.
From Sharda University, Greater Noida, students from Mechanical and EECE departemnts are participating in the event. The name of organiszing school is Sharda School of Engineering & Science.

Objectives of Event

  • To design and develop a hybrid All-Terrain Vehicle (H-ATV) incorporating conventional and alternative power technologies.
  • To provide students with hands-on experience in vehicle design, analysis, fabrication, assembly, testing and validation.
  • To apply classroom concepts from Mechanical, Electronics and allied engineering disciplines to a real engineering project.
  • To develop students' skills in problem solving, teamwork, leadership, project management and technical decision-making.
  • To expose students to industry-oriented engineering standards, design reviews, cost evaluation and performance testing.
  • To encourage innovation, sustainability and efficient utilization of resources in vehicle development.
  • To represent Sharda University at a national-level SAEINDIA competition and strengthen the University's culture of experiential learning, innovation and automotive engineering.
