Sharda School of Nursing Science & Research (SSNSR), Sharda University is organizing an Extension and Outreach program on Screening for Hypertension and Diabetes under Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan” launched by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare focuses on 25th September 2025 at CHC Bisrakh. Screening for Hypertension and Diabetes plays a crucial role in the prevention, early detection, and management of these non-communicable diseases, which are leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide.

The program aims to empower nursing professionals and students with practical skills and knowledge to identify risk factors, perform screening tests, and counsel individuals for lifestyle modifications and timely interventions. This outreach initiative also emphasizes community participation to enhance awareness and promote healthy living. Our media broadcasting partner is Suno Sharda 90.8 FM.

Objectives of Event

  1. To assess blood pressure and blood sugar levels among the community population. (SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being)

  3. To create awareness regarding preventive measures and lifestyle modifications. (SDG 4: Quality Education)
