Overview

This course explores the practical application of Artificial Intelligence in the legal domain, with a focus on legal research, contract analysis, compliance, litigation, and ethical governance. It introduces students to AI-driven tools and methodologies that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making in legal practice. Through project-based learning, students engage with real-world legal datasets and apply techniques such as natural language processing, predictive analytics, and risk assessment. The course also critically examines ethical challenges, bias, and accountability in legal AI systems. By the end of the course, students gain both conceptual understanding and applied skills relevant to modern legal practice.

Objectives of Event

  1. Equip students with the knowledge and skills to utilize AI technologies for streamlining legal research
  2. Acquaint students to use AI and NLP for automating contract review, identifying issues, and visualizing risks.
  3. Enable students to apply AI for regulatory compliance and risk assessment through automation and visualization.
  4. Utilize AI to enhance dispute resolution and litigation strategy through prediction and categorization models.
  5. Acquaint with ethical challenges and develop solutions to mitigate bias in AI for legal decision-making systems.
