Overview
Sharda School of Nursing Science and Research, in collaboration with the SDG cell and IQAC-Sharda, organized an educational event titled “Healthy Diet and Healthy Planet” with the active participation of B.Sc. Nursing students. The event aimed to promote awareness regarding healthy dietary practices, sustainable nutrition, and environmentally responsible lifestyle behaviors for building a healthier and greener future.
During the event, students demonstrated various therapeutic and balanced diets for different health conditions, such as diabetes mellitus, hypertension, obesity, anemia, and cardiovascular diseases. The demonstrations focused on the nutritional value, health benefits, meal planning, and disease prevention aspects of healthy diets. Special emphasis was given to sustainable food practices, including the use of local and seasonal foods, reduction of food waste, balanced nutrition, and eco-friendly dietary habits that support planetary health and environmental sustainability.
The event successfully integrated health promotion with environmental awareness and supported the University’s commitment to Green Campus practices and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
