Overview

The School of Pharmacy, Sharda University is organizing an Industry Expert Workshop titled “Bridging Industry Insights with SDG-Based Problem Identification.” This workshop aims to help students and early-stage innovators understand how real-world challenges can be systematically identified and aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). Led by an experienced industry expert, the session will expose participants to current issues faced in industrial, community, and emerging technology environments.

Through interactive discussions, case-based learning, and exposure-driven insights, this workshop will equip participants with the ability to recognize unmet needs, validate on-ground problems, and map them to relevant SDGs. The activity is designed to strengthen students’ problem-solving abilities and innovation readiness by connecting theoretical learning with practical, industry-oriented perspectives.

Objectives of Event

1.     Understand the significance of real-world problem identification as the foundation for innovation and entrepreneurship.

2.     Recognize and analyse field-level challenges relevant to industry, healthcare, and society.

3.     Map identified problems to appropriate UN SDGs to ensure sustainable and high-impact innovations.

4.     Gain exposure to industry viewpoints on emerging needs, technological gaps, and future opportunities.

5.     Formulate structured and meaningful problem statements aligned with innovation and societal relevance.

6.     Strengthen critical thinking and observational skills required for early-stage innovation and idea generation.

7.     Develop a solution-oriented mindset by linking industry insights with practical problem-solving approaches.
