CORKET, The Marketing Club of SSBS & AVINYA, The Management & Commerce Society of SSBS is organising a two-day online workshop on Beyond Clicks and Conversions: Understanding the Hidden Dangers of Digital Marketing. This workshop explores the often-overlooked risks and challenges of digital marketing beyond its success metrics. While digital marketing offers immense opportunities, it also comes with ethical concerns, data privacy risks, cybersecurity threats, and reputational hazards. Through case studies and expert insights, students will gain a deeper understanding of the dark side of digital marketing and learn how to navigate these challenges effectively.

Objectives of Event

 

1. To analyse the ethical and legal risks in digital marketing – Understanding privacy laws, data security, and consumer protection regulations.

2. To explore cybersecurity threats in digital marketing – Identifying risks such as data breaches, hacking, and fraud in online advertising.

3. To evaluate the impact of misleading advertising and misinformation – Examining case studies of digital marketing failures and their consequences.

4. To discuss workplace burnout in digital marketing teams

5. To discuss the limitations and ethical implications of AI in digital marketing
