Sharda School of Design invites you to attend an expert lecture titled “From Handloom to Hi-tech: Evolution of Weaving & Printing in Modern Era”, followed by a 4-day Weaving & Printing workshop-cum-training for 2nd & 3rd year Fashion Design students of B.Des & M.Des.

Objectives of Event

The workshop aims to expose students to Indian artisans’ skills and enrich them with the ability to design and create their own fabrics.

• The workshop is aligned with SDG 4, ensuring youth gain relevant technical and vocational skills for employment, decent jobs, and entrepreneurship.

• It promotes knowledge and skills for sustainable development, cultural diversity, and appreciation of traditional practices.

• Students will get hands-on experience in textile design and fabric development by applying theoretical knowledge.
