Overview
Avinya: The SDG Cell of SSBS, in collaboration with the Sharda Social Business Centre, is organising Avinya SDG Quest – Edition I, an engaging quiz competition focused on Economics and Sustainable Growth.
The first edition explores the intersection of economics and sustainable development, covering themes such as employment, productivity, economic growth, markets, entrepreneurship, and responsible economic decision-making. The quiz aims to encourage participants to connect economic concepts with the broader objectives of sustainable and inclusive development.
SDG Alignment
Primary SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth
The activity aligns with SDG 8 by developing awareness and understanding of employment, productivity, entrepreneurship, economic growth, and sustainable economic development.
Secondary SDG 4 - Quality Education
The activity supports SDG 4 by promoting economic literacy, critical thinking, knowledge enhancement, and engaging learning beyond the conventional classroom format.
Objectives of Event
- To enhance economic literacy by developing participants’ understanding of key economic concepts, principles, and contemporary issues.
- To strengthen critical thinking and analytical skills through questions that encourage the application of economic concepts to real-world situations.
- To promote interdisciplinary learning by connecting economics with business, society, development, and sustainability.
- To encourage informed perspectives on sustainable economic development and the relationship between economic growth and societal well-being.
- To encourage knowledge-based learning through an engaging and competitive quiz format.
- To develop awareness of contemporary economic challenges related to employment, productivity, entrepreneurship, markets, and economic development.
