The Environment Club, under the aegis of Dean Students’ Welfare is organizing the "Green Shark Tank" event to encourage youth-led eco-innovation and practical sustainability solutions on campus.

 

About the Event:

 

Green Shark Tank is a university-level sustainability and innovation competition where students transform pressing environmental challenges into actionable, real-world solutions. Inspired by the entrepreneurial pitch format, participants (solo or in teams) pitch their ideas before a panel of critical evaluators ("Sharks") to compete for cash prizes and recognition. A presentation (PPT) is mandatory for all participants to explain their problem statement and proposed solution, while bringing a physical model or working prototype is optional.

Objectives of Event

  • To empower students to develop practical, innovative prototypes addressing critical environmental and sustainability challenges.
  • To foster entrepreneurial thinking by testing the feasibility, technological viability, and scalability of green ideas.
  • To encourage measurable positive impact across areas like waste reduction, resource conservation, carbon emission cuts, and circular economy practices.
  • To provide rigorous feedback and pitching platform that bridges the gap between conceptual solutions and real-world implementation.
