Overview

This is an interdisciplinary course that explores the core concepts, methods, and significance of the humanities and social sciences in understanding human life and society. Students will examine how ideas shape cultures, how identities are formed and expressed, and how institutions influence social behavior and structures. Through historical, philosophical, cultural, and sociological lenses, the course invites learners to critically analyze the forces that define and challenge the human experience across time and space. Emphasis will be placed on developing analytical thinking, cultural awareness, ethical reasoning, and research skills that are vital to academic inquiry and civic engagement.

Objectives of Event

The Objectives of this course are as follows:

•To analyze foundational concepts and methodologies from the humanities and social sciences to understand human behavior, culture, and society.

•To examine the development and impact of ideas, identities, and institutions across historical and cultural contexts.

•To develop critical thinking and interpretive skills through the evaluation of texts, artifacts, social structures, and contemporary issues.
