Overview

As we all know, tobacco use remains one of the leading causes of preventable disease and death worldwide. This year's World No Tobacco Day theme emphasizes the need to address emerging threats like e-cigarettes, which are often misunderstood as safe alternatives to traditional tobacco products.

 

31st May 2024 is celebrated as WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY. In this context, Department of Oral Medicine & Radiology (TCC Centre) and Department of Public Health Dentistry, Sharda University, in collaboration with Department of Public Health Dentistry, CDER, AIIMS, New Delhi is conducting an awareness session on E-Cigarette among students, teaching and non-teaching faculty members of Sharda University, Greater Noida.

Objectives of Event

  • The primary objective of the session is to raise awareness about the harmful effects of e-cigarettes and to promote a tobacco-free lifestyle among the university community. This initiative aligns with the global celebration of World No Tobacco Day, which aims to highlight the health risks associated with tobacco use and advocate for effective policies to reduce tobacco consumption.
