Sharda School of law, Sharda University in collaboration of African Law Students Association (ALSA) is organising Workshop on “Transformative justice: Rethinking Accountability in Communities”

 

This workshop aims to inspire law students to think beyond conventional legal approaches and consider more holistic, equitable methods of achieving justice within communities.

All the faculties and students of Sharda University are cordially invited to make this event successful.

THEME: Workshop on “Transformative justice: Rethinking Accountability in Communities”

Objectives of Event

a)      Develop Knowledge of Key Concepts: Understand the core principles of transformative justice

b)     Explore Case Studies and Real-World Applications: Case studies where transformative justice has been successfully implemented. Discuss the challenges and limitations of adopting transformative justice within existing legal frameworks.

c)      Practical Skill Building: Provide students with hands-on tools and strategies for applying transformative justice in legal practice, including mediation, facilitation, and community engagement techniques.

d)     Encourage Collaborative Problem Solving: Facilitate group discussions and workshops where students can brainstorm and develop creative solutions for implementing transformative justice in their own communities and legal practice.

Promote Ethical and Socially Responsible Lawyering: Encourage students to reflect on their roles as future legal practitioners.
