Sharda School of Nursing Science And Research is organizing World Tuberculosis Day on theme ‘Yes! We can end # TB. World TB day is an annual event that raises public awareness about the devastating health, social and economic consequences of tuberculosis and the efforts to end the global burden of TB epidemic.

Since the first World Tuberculosis Day in 1982, each year has had a specific theme to focus on a particular aspect of TB prevention and control. This year the theme is ‘Yes! We can end # TB.

World Tuberculosis Day is an opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of early diagnosis and treatment of TB and to recognize the efforts of healthcare workers, researchers, and advocates working to prevent and treat TB. The day also provides an opportunity to call for increased funding and political commitment to TB prevention and control.

Objectives of Event

  • To spread awareness about Tuberculosis -The  Global public health problem
  • To reach community people and raise awareness about TB and its impact on individuals, communities, and society as a whole.
  • To spread the message of TB prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • To update on improved treatment regimens and new preventive tools.
