The School of Pharmacy is excited to host an event on March 6th, 2025, in preparation for the upcoming Holi celebrations. This event, aimed at creating "Herbal Gulaal" (natural colors), will not only allow the participants to engage in the traditional Holi spirit but also emphasize the importance of using eco-friendly and non-toxic colors.
Objectives of Event
The primary objective of the "Herbal Gulaal" preparation event is to promote eco-friendly and safe alternatives to synthetic Holi colors. Through this initiative, the School of Pharmacy aims to raise awareness about the harmful effects of chemical-based colors on health and the environment. This event will also highlight the importance of natural ingredients in creating vibrant, safe, and sustainable colors for the celebration of Holi. Students and faculty will participate in the hands-on preparation of herbal colors using plant-based and natural materials, fostering creativity, teamwork, and environmental consciousness. The event will also enhance the understanding of the various medicinal properties of the herbs used in the preparation of the colors, showcasing the intersection of traditional practices and modern pharmaceutical knowledge.
