Department of Biotechnology, Sharda School of Engineering & Technology is organizing an expert lecture on From Waste to Worth: Sustainable Bioconversion for a Clean and Green Campus on 21st June 2024.
 

This event aims to educate students and staff members about the development and implementation of sustainable bioconversion technologies to minimize organic waste, reduce the carbon footprint, and promote a cleaner, greener university campus.

Objectives of Event

  1. Implement a comprehensive waste management system and utilization.
  2. Develop and deploy bioconversion processes to convert organic waste materials into valuable resources.
  3. Conduct research to optimize bioconversion technologies for various types of organic waste.
  4. Establish educational programs to raise awareness among students, faculty, and staff about the importance of sustainable bioconversion technologies in achieving a cleaner and greener campus environment.
  5. Collaborate with local communities and businesses to explore opportunities for off-campus utilization of bioconversion outputs.
  6. Monitor and evaluate the environmental impact and cost-effectiveness of bioconversion technologies implemented on the campus.
  7. Integrate sustainable bioconversion technologies into the campus infrastructure planning and development process, ensuring long-term commitment to environmental stewardship and resource conservation.
