Overview
Aarohan – An Ascent in Emotional and Social Awareness is a social initiative by PsyKins, the Psychology Club, Abhivyakti Wellness Clinic and Sharda School of Humanities and Social Sciences, in collaboration with Kartavaya NGO is organizing an event to foster emotional and social awareness among children from diverse socio-economic group by through engaging and interactive activities
The event will include multiple activities facilitated by student volunteers, each designed to encourage emotional expression, enhance communication skills, and promote empathy and understanding
Activities Include:
- Emotion Motion: Emotion Charades, to understand why recognizing emotions is essential in daily life.
- Heart to Heart Huddle: Sharing Circle, to enhance self-expression and foster emotional resilience and interpersonal skills.
- Feel & Freeze Dance: Emotion Freeze Dance, to enhance mind-body awareness, active listening, self-regulation, and creative expression.
- Mirror Moments: Reflection and Takeaways, to solidify learning and improving long-term retention.

Objectives of Event
The main objective of the event is:
- To foster emotional and social awareness among underprivileged children through engaging and interactive activities.
- To encourage emotional expression, enhance communication skills, and promote empathy and understanding among children.
- By participating in these activities, children will develop a greater awareness of their own emotions and those of others, empowering them to rise upwards in emotional intelligence and social consciousness, ultimately contributing to their holistic personal growth.
